International Children’s Rights (Advanced LL.M.) | Chandrima Interview | Leiden University

In this episode, we speak with Chandrima Chattopadhyay, a 2020 graduate from India and currently a Ph.D. candidate exploring the intersection of behavioural science and law. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence (AI) and technology choice behaviour, with special emphasis on the upcoming EU AI Act. Chandrima reflects on the course Interaction between ‘Children’s Rights and Other International Legal Systems’ as a foundational and exciting part of the LL.M. programme—one that laid the groundwork for understanding how legal frameworks connect with practice and real-world impact. She also discusses how the field visits and ongoing engagement with practitioners shaped her perspective on how children’s rights are approached in diverse contexts.
