Written by Melvin Endsley I was watching an old TV show, Northern Exposure, and at the end of Season 1 Episode 1, a band was playing this song at the local festival. The chord sequence in the intro, the bridge and the verses are all the same. We left out the whistling from the intro and bridge. Guy's version is in the key of E, we dropped it to C. The strum pattern we used is our basic strum, a video explaining it can be found here; • My Basic Strum A video of Guy Mitchell's version can be found here; • Guy Mitchell - Singing the blues (1956).mpg C F C F G F G C F C C F Well I never felt more like singing the blues C F G 'cause I never thought that I'd ever lose F G C F C Your love dear why'd you do me this way?
