Frostfire Mine – Event Recap I went into this Frostfire Mine with a small advantage: 3 buffs at 20% and 3 buffs at 10%, just enough to give me a slight edge against the other dolphins on the battlefield. At the start, I teleported to what looked like a perfect spot to begin gathering. Unfortunately, another FC10 player had the exact same idea and teleported right next to me. At first, I hesitated to attack because I wasn’t completely sure who would win the fight. After my first march returned from hunting, I decided to test the waters. I attacked one of his gathering tiles using only my first march, just to see if I could beat him. Luckily, I won. Seeing that advantage, I repeated the same tactic on his other gathering tiles, always using my first march to make sure the fights stayed in my favor. After losing four or five times in a row, he eventually decided to teleport away. With that area secured, I had a short period of peace where I could focus purely on gathering and climbing the leaderboard. However, the fight for points at the top was intense between several strong players. At one point, a stronger opponent tried multiple times to stop me from overtaking him for first place. Instead of engaging him directly, I chose a smarter approach: I dodged his attacks and targeted other players’ gathering tiles instead, keeping my points rising without unnecessary losses. When the middle finally opened, I quickly sent my first march there and sped it up faster than everyone else, knowing I probably wouldn’t be able to hold it for long. Still, I managed to keep control for about 5 seconds before being defeated. Ironically, the player who chased me earlier was the one who knocked me out of the middle — but that was expected. The last 7 minutes became a pure strategy game. My focus was simple: gather as much as possible and secure enough points to fight for first place at the end. Meanwhile, the middle was controlled by two stronger players, which put me 4th in middle occupation time and another competitor in 3rd place. Even though he earned slightly more points from the middle, my overall strategy paid off. By the end of the event, my gathering points and tile fights pushed me ahead, and I managed to finish in 1st place. A great Frostfire Mine battle and a perfect example of how strategy, positioning, and smart fights can beat raw strength.
