Watch our video: "Investing in Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Stocks: The Ultimate 2024 Guide" 👉 • AI Supercycle: Your Ultimate Guide To Inve... The semiconductor industry is booming, and with it, demand for base material suppliers and other industrial equipment is going up too. Semiconductor industry adjacent stocks are companies that provide products and services that are essential to the semiconductor industry, but are not actually semiconductor companies themselves. These businesses can include equipment manufacturers, materials suppliers, and software providers. The semiconductor adjacent market is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, as the demand for semiconductors and domestic manufacturing continues to rise. The U.S. CHIPS Act, U.S. Inflation Reduction Act, and the European Chips Act are helping fuel investment into these areas. This growth is being driven by a number of factors, including the increasing adoption of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence (think ChatGPT), and the electrification of vehicles and the energy grid with materials such as lithium and silicon carbide. In this video, Nick and Kasey will discuss some semiconductor adjacent markets, and the companies that are best positioned to benefit from its growth. The companies compared are Albemarle (ALB) vs Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM), Linde (LIN) vs Air Products and Chemicals (APD), and On Semiconductor (ON) vs Wolfspeed (WOLF) and STMicroelectronics (STM).
