My team and I traveled to Utah (SLC) rented a generator, grabbed a table and some supplies and drove 4.5 hours south to Hanksville. I knew the two largest obstacles we were facing was time and the cold. We had one shot at a sunrise shoot. I couldn't mess up the live recording. Imagine being 20 minutes into the set and then having such a bad error I had to stop the audio recording. One shot and only one. On top of the pressure, it was 20° F when we arrived at 5:30am. While setting up the equipment and table, the sun barely started turning the sky from black to dark deep blue. It was all of our first time there so we had no idea what to expect, but it wasn't until the sun came up and started giving true light to the location we were standing in, when it suddenly hit me. This was by far, the most breath taking place I have ever set eyes on. I had never seen such beauty in so many fashions all together in the same place, it was dead empty silence. Almost as if we were meant to exist there by accident. If you want to truly see what beauty is, scroll to the last 10 seconds of this video (AFTER YOU WATCHED THE WHOLE THING OF COURSE) and let that image set in. ☞ Filmed by: SlayTech Cinematography Cam Op: Derek Slayton Drone Op: Helen Ngo Instagram.com/slaybaefpv PIC: Derek Slayton SlayTech.Net Instagram.com/slaytech
