According to the Hollywood Reporter the former chairman of the Island Def Jam record label and judge on Fox's upcoming singing-competition series The X-Factor has landed a new gig as the head of Sony Music's Epic Label Group. Rumor on the street is that he will start his new endeavor after the July 4th holiday. Not only will be he back in the sattle with artist he previously worked with but it will give him a leading edge as a judge on the hit show X-Factor. Speaking of, Reid made headlines in April by introducing Cheryl Cole as the new judge. Now Cole has been replaced but still gets paid up to 1.5 million to finish out her contract. Is L.A.
