Instagram: Shenxobi My name is Tim Shen, a multilingual actor, filmmaker, and martial artist based in Brisbane, Australia. I was born in 2001 in Taipei, Taiwan, and later grew up on the Gold Coast in Australia. I stand 6'1" (185 cm) and bring a strong physical background as an actor, particularly in action and character-driven roles. I developed a passion for photography and videography in high school, where I graduated as the top film and multimedia student. I later studied at Queensland University of Technology, graduating with Honours in Film and a minor in Drama. Alongside acting, I work as a filmmaker, director, and editor, with experience creating short films, commercials, documentaries, and online media content. I have appeared as a background performer in professional productions, including The Mosquito Bowl and Untitled Mike Thornton Film (2026). Before returning to Australia, I completed my mandatory military service in Taiwan with the Republic of China Army, serving in the 153rd Regiment, 4th Battalion Weapons Company as the Head of Ordnance Class. My responsibilities included overseeing the maintenance and inspection of firearms and artillery within the company. This experience provided me with authentic knowledge of military protocol, weapons handling, and combat discipline, which informs my work in action-oriented roles. I have trained in martial arts for over 15 years, including Wushu, Wing Chun, Karate, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and Jiu Jitsu. My weapons training includes Kendo, Western fencing, Capo Ferro rapier, British military saber, spear, staff, and sword and shield combat. I am also the founder of QUT Saber Fencing Legion, a performance and choreography group focused on cinematic sword combat and stage fighting. Through this organisation I have directed, produced, choreographed, and acted in several short film projects, combining martial arts with cinematic storytelling. Fluent in English, Mandarin and Japanese, I have a diverse professional background that has helped shape my communication skills and work ethic. I have worked in the hospitality industry in multiple roles including barista, food server, bartender, and chef, and have also worked as a massage therapist in West End. I am First Aid certified, and experienced working with people in fast paced environments. I have also studied music since childhood, learning piano from the age of six, and I can also play guitar and drums. My work as an actor is grounded in discipline, physical performance, and storytelling. With a background that combines filmmaking, martial arts, music, and real world experience, I aim to bring authenticity and versatility to every role. Thank you for watching.
