Welcome to the Squadron of Foam Tasmania (S.O.F.T) video overview, internals and modification guide on the Nerf N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire! In this video I give an introduction to the Hail-Fire and how it works, then I discuss the main problems it has; in particular the reliability and stability of the Rotating Ammo Rack system (which is the whole 'selling point' of this particular blaster in the first place...) I am sharing my experiences and results of experimenting with modifying this blaster in the hopes that it may help other Hail-Fire owners (who are willing and capable of modifying their blasters) to overcome these same issues I have found. I feel it is a shame that this blaster almost seems like it HAS to be modified just to get it working properly as it was intended / designed to do in the first place... however I am also grateful that there is even a solution to it's design flaws after all. ---------- For anyone who actually reads the description here's a summary of what is in the video and at what times (aproximately): 00:17 to 01:23 = Hail-Fire introduction 01:24 to 04:03 = Problems I've found with the Hail-Fire 04:04 to 07:19 = Voltage mod, round shell removal and advancing handle disconnection tips 07:20 to 11:16 = Internals components overview and "optional" mini-mod suggestions 11:17 to 17:11 = MAIN Modification section; to improve the Rotating Ammo Rack system's performance and reliability. 17:12 to the end = Firing demonstration and recommendations ---------- I understand this is a VERY long video and that I could have broken it down into three parts... but I thought it was better to consolidate everything I've done into one video. Especially since there does not seem to be many other Hail-Fire mod guides out there that are more than just voltage mod tutorials... ---------- Please note that S.O.F.T and myself are not affiliated with Nerf or Hasbro; the Nerf logo, brand, products (etc) is the intellectual property of Nerf and Hasbro [and so on and so fourth...] Also, despite making this video demonstrating what I did to modify this Hail-Fire, I will not be held responsible if you decide to modify your blaster and end up ruining it or injuring yourself - MODIFY AT YOUR OWN RISK! Intro music credit: Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 video game soundtrack, track #42 Thanks for watching, I hope you have found the video and information helpful, relevant and at least mildly interesting to watch! :D
