Would you like to own a Session King Irish bouzouki? https://nkfguitars.com/SKzouk-at The Session King Irish Bouzouki is the latest addition to my lineup—bringing the stripped-back, no-nonsense style of the Session King to one of my most in-demand instruments. It’s built on the foundation of my Standard Model bouzouki: a compact Forster design that fits neatly into a banjo case. During my time working with Stefan Sobell, we only made a few smaller-bodied bouzoukis, citterns, and octave mandolins—but they always stood out. This size delivers a tighter, more focused tone than larger-bodied versions—perfect for noisy sessions. You can choose between a flat top with a fixed bridge (giving more sustain and low-end warmth), or an arched top with a floating bridge (for a brighter, more traditional bouzouki sound). Base models like the one in this video are made from straightforward, workhorse materials with no frills—but you can always upgrade the tonewoods or add decorative touches to suit your taste and budget. It’s a serious instrument—and the most affordable bouzouki I offer. Big thanks to Martin Reese and Christian Rizzalli for helping me make these videos. Here you will see Christian putting the archtop Session King bouzouki through its paces. I was very happy with how both of these instruments turned out, and we recorded them in an identical fashion, so if you put your headphones on you'll be best placed to see which you prefer.
