It took quite a bit longer than I anticipated, and it's not as nice as I would like (seriously, sorry for audio bugs and the video problems and the relatively bad image resolution), but it's finished, and it's... well, mostly Bee Train's and ADV's and the above artist's, but whatever's left over that doesn't belong the voice cast is mine. This isn't quite an abridged series, nor am I calling it one, because I declared long ago that when I abridge an anime it would have a more inventive name. I didn't say HOW MUCH more inventive, thankfully, or we'd still be working on that. We also broke a few abridged series traditions in having a relatively large voice cast for the number of roles, and well... just by the fact that we're hardly abridging anything, what with this covering only the first half of the first episode. Also there's footage from later episodes thrown in as well. I don't imagine we'll be needing to use it again, though. Oh, and you know, Noir is a damn hard series to parody because it takes itself so very seriously. But I think I've given it a fair shake. In all honesty, I do recommend watching the series or at least the first episode or at least the first half of the first episode, before watching this. Not only is it a totally worthwhile series (if unintentionally hilarious sometimes, well, if it weren't so dark), but some of what I find fun about this is how I've managed to twist a few things so completely out of context. And all you Noir fans out there... please come look at this. Please? I know the fandom's pretty much dead, but... lesbians! And we're cutting right to the chase with it this time! Ahem Anyway, I'm at risk of rambling on and on here, so I'm gonna stop. Oh, and before anyone asks, the ending is a reference to the ending of The Sopranos. I can't believe how many of my friends didn't know that. It's not THAT old. Hell, it was downright topical when I had the idea--I didn't even watch the series and I knew about it. And, if it wasn't hinted at enough in there, that melodramatic montage is deliberately done badly, reminiscent of the majority of AMVs you find floating around Youtube. Er... no offense Youtube AMV-ers. You're at least working harder than people who do slide shows? Although slide shows have pointed me to some really cool fanart in the past... That's it, I guess.
