Gozleme have become very popular in the last few years, so we tried making our own and they came out so tasty and filling! We served it with a simple rocket and red onion salad. Ingredients: Dough; 200g plain yogurt 250grm self raising flour pinch of salt Filling; 150g mince - you can use lamb/chicken/pork/ beef 2 cloves garlic crushed 1 tsp ground cumin 1/2 tsp chilli (optional) 1/2 tsp dried mint 50ml (apprx 3 tblspn) tomato juice (tomato paste mixed with water) 200grm Spinach (you can use fresh or frozen, well drained) 150grm Fetta cheese Fresh mint simply torn 200 grams Ricotta - sprinkled with salt/pepper/chilli Olive oil to fry Method: Dough; Add salt to yogurt, make a well in the flour and add yogurt Mix well into a dough, then on a floured bench knead the dough until smooth, place into an oiled bowl and leave covered for 30 mins Meat Filling; Heat oil in pan and cook mince lightly then add garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, mint and tomato juice, cook until just dry - allow to cool Assembly; On a floured surface, cut dough into 4 pieces. Roll out into approx 30cm circles. Meat and Fetta; Spoon on some spinach, crumble some fetta and top with mince and fresh mint leaves. Sprinkle a little bit of water on the edge of the dough and then fold over and seal with a fork. Vegetarian: Place spinach, ricotta mix and sprinkle some fetta and mint leaves. Sprinkle a little bit of water on the edge of the dough and then fold over and seal with a fork. Cook: In a large fry pan, heat a little bit of oil on a low/med heat, place in gozleme and cook until golden brown (approx 4 mins per side) Serve and Enjoy! Facebook: / 238702364138077
