I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend a local Beta Motorcycles demo event at a nearby off road trail area. After having a blast on the Beta 390 RR-S for my first test ride, I decided to try out a Beta 200RR test ride for my second time around. In true Dork fashion, it did not go well for me. Halfway through my 200 RR test ride my bike died on me. I managed to get it going successfully on time, but it quickly died on me again just a bit farther down the trail. I checked the fuel level in the tank and it seemed fine, so I wasn't sure what was up with the bike. Thankfully, a helpful stranger came by and let me in on a little secret unique to Beta Motorcycles: apparently the reserve is very large and kicks in much earlier than you'd think. So, I'm an idiot and I was just out of gas. Huge thank you to the kind stranger who helped me figure that out on the trail. After my unsuccessful Beta 200RR test ride, I decided to attempt a Beta XTrainer test ride, which went much more smoothly. Both of these two stroke bikes are very fun and impressive machines, and while this is not a full Beta 200RR review or Beta XTrainer review video by any means, hopefully you can at least get a sense of what it's like for an average rider like myself to take one for a spin.
