Tracking Sea Turtles: Taiwan's Marine Wildlife Education | Our Ocean

Sea turtles, whales, and dolphins all call the waters of Taiwan home. But as Greenpeace representatives note, only 8% of Taiwan’s territorial waters are protected by law. In the absence of legal protections, how can we encourage people to help preserve the beauty of these natural habitats? Ocean education resources tend to be scarce, but they are slowly gaining attention in Taiwan. From whale-watching activities to sea turtle tracking and beach cleanups, ocean education in Taiwan proves to be just as diverse as the people of Taiwan themselves.
