Freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has been in the spotlight since she tweeted comments that have been interpreted as promoting anti-semitic tropes. The mainstream media has covered this controversy extensively, but Omar isn’t the only elected official with a history of controversial remarks. Rep. Jim Jordan and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy have both tweeted similarly anti-semitic tropes and Rep. Steve King has promoted racist ideologies for years.
