In recent weeks the conflict between Hamas and Israel has exploded with other state and non-state actors entering into the conflict through both covert and overt actions. This scenario explores a situation where Israel feels the security of their state is in danger and they decide to strike Iran who they perceive as the state actor providing the most supplies to the forces threatening their survival, namely Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. After that scenario plays out I approach it from the opposite direction where anti-Israeli militants smuggle in 6 small nuclear devices and detonate them around Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. How many people will lose their lives to these relatively low yield devices? The answer should frighten you. I will leave other commentators to talk about who is or is not justified in this conflict.
