King’s Flame, Fuoco is a massive furnace puppet wielding both a hammer and a hand cannon. He hits like a tank, has inconsistent attack patterns and, while mostly telegraphed, his attacks all have different timings. Some are extremely delayed, others hit immediately. If you prefer parrying to dodging, know that you will have to master the ability and learn all of Fuoco’s attacks inside and out. If you prioritize dodging, this becomes a lot more doable. You can choose to summon a Specter if you’d like but he will die soon. During Phase 1, land no more than 3 attacks at best and then use the rest of your stamina to retreat or dodge. The more stamina you have, the more hits you’re allowed to land, but don’t get greedy. You don’t want to be caught in any of his attacks due to them having very large hitboxes. Eventually he’ll go groggy, allowing you to Fatal Strike him. Keep doing this until Phase 2 starts. During Phase 2, he will start by releasing a massive pool of fire on the ground. Its AoE is massive, so retreat as much as possible. If you get caught in it, you’re practically dead unless you have some fire extinguishing tools. Then, immediately hide behind one of the large red pipes to avoid getting shot by cannonballs. Eventually, he will use his cannon as a flamethrower. If this hits you, you’re pretty much dead. When this happens, get behind him and land 2-3 attacks, then pull back. Eventually he’ll go groggy, allowing you to Fatal Strike him. A very challenging boss fight this early in the game, one that for the most part is won with patience and dodging.
