Speaker: Paul Nagy, MS, LPC, LCAS, CCS, Assistant Professor, Duke University In a time of significant system change, behavioral health providers are challenged to find ways to treat increasingly complex alcohol and drug use disorders with a greater emphasis on outcomes and cost-effectiveness. One response to this challenge has been the development of intensive outpatient treatment (IOT), an intermediate level of care intended for individuals not requiring 24-hour care and supervision but in need of more structured and comprehensive services than provided in traditional outpatient settings.
