In this video, we visit Baron’s Sino Kitchen & Bar in Bellevue during Seattle Restaurant Week, taking advantage of their $50 set menu to explore this upscale Chinese dining experience. Known for elegant techniques and luxurious fusion dishes, Baron’s offers everything from truffle lobster to wagyu beef noodles. We brought my mom along to try their signature Peking duck, which comes with a $48 surcharge—crispy skin, juicy meat, and beautiful presentation, though not quite the best we’ve had globally. We also sampled dishes like passionfruit prawns, Baron’s seafood fried rice, and a Kurabuta sweet and sour pork (not on the set menu). Dessert ended with a light, two-layer coconut pudding that was all about texture and subtle sweetness. The setting is elegant yet comfortable, perfect for treating someone or introducing newcomers to refined Chinese cuisine. Is the $88 duck worth it?
