BK Talks: Governance for Resilient Neighbourhoods October 28, 2025 17:30–19:00 Oostserre, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, TU Delft As urbanization faces increasing pressures from climate change, demographic shifts, social fragmentation, and widening inequality, questions of governance have become central to the pursuit of resilience. This edition of BK Talks examines how institutional arrangements, collaborations, and knowledge frameworks can evolve to better support communities navigating these intertwined challenges. Urban governance in the Netherlands remains marked by persistent issues — from policy silos and institutional fragmentation to weakened trust between residents, municipalities, and market actors. Community-led innovation is often undervalued, intersectional vulnerabilities receive limited attention, and short-term political cycles continue to overshadow long-term societal needs. Moderated by Professor Caroline Newton, the conversation brings together speakers from diverse backgrounds to discuss how governance can be reimagined to enable more just, inclusive, and lasting urban transitions.
