Chitrranna is my husbands favourite rice dish. I keep the chitrranna mix ready in refrigerator. Whenever we are in hurry and have no time to make curry then this mix is our saviour and tastes yummy too. The oil content looks more but then it can be used for more than 1 kg of Rice. My grandfathers Aunty called Parukaki introduced this recipe to our family. She came from Dharwad and was a great cook. I remember her coming to our place in Belgavi and cooking such delicacies for all of us when I was a child. Some people are associated with memories of great food and so is Parukaki.
