Well for once the reality lives up to the hype! Henri Bendel’s Vanilla Bean is a gorgeous, dark, perfumey conceptual, perfect for Fall and Winter - and into early Spring, if you desire. Moreover, it performs like a premium, luxury candle - perhaps even BETTER than a luxury candle. Vanilla Birch is Bath & Body Works’ version of Vanilla Bean for a more casual consumer-demographic, and at a less expensive price-point. It is a very good dupe, fragrance wise. The performance doesn’t hold a candle (ha!) to the original, though 😥 The Bendel candles are currently available only at the BBW Easton Station location in Columbus, Ohio, although there have been sightings in Nashville, Tennessee and might also be found in Atlanta, Georgia (both of which are test-markets for BBW).
