Welcome back to the Nightmare that is The Return to Freddy's 3. Where, similar to that of Return to Freddy's 2, we have Nightmare Lockjaw gracing us with his presence once again. And this time he is not alone. Oh and Night 8 is a thing I decided to record as well. Nightmare Mode Strategy guide So unlike TRTF 2, the night does not get harder as it progresses. However the more your insane meter reaches its maximum then the more harder it will be to see your screen, and typically by 5am you will have very limited vision. The only way to keep your insane meter in check is by staring at Nightmare Lockjaw on the cameras and avoiding Phantom Lockjaw. I never knew what Phantom Lockjaw looked like when he was in the office, but if I noticed my cameras going all greenish then I would quickly switch cameras to avoid him jump scaring me. The camera map is rotated in this mode which is to help with finding Nightmare Lockjaw. He starts in camera 5 and then will either make his way across the top row of cameras (6,3,2) or the bottom row of cameras (7,4,1). If he laughs at all then that means he has switched rows. Once he is in camera 1 or 2 then the next stop is your office. If he leaves Camera 2 he will appear on the left side of the office and if Camera 1 then the right side, which takes a long time to scroll over to. I would advise if you ever see Nightmare Lockjaw in Camera 1 to immediately go over to the right side to prepare for when he leaves. Nightmare Lockjaw will immediately kill you if you aren't holding your light on him once he reaches the office. Shadow Dug is on the second floor and takes the following route. 11,10,9,8 and then your office. If he gets to your office then he will steal your flashlight and you will be dead the next time Nightmare Lockjaw reaches you. You will need to use an audio lure to keep him away from you. You can only lure him back one room at a time. If he's in 8 you can only lure him back to 9, then to 10 and then 11. Once you get rid of Nightmare Lockjaw from the office, he will sometimes take a long time to spawn back in Camera 5. If you notice your insanity meter not going up then that will be because he is not back yet. This won't happen too often but be thankful when it does. This mode is extremely luck based as Nightmare Lockjaw and Shadow dug will be really fast at times and really slow other times. Some runs are just simply unwinnable.
