We came for the views... but ended up stranded in the Scottish Highlands on this most AMAZING MTB Adventure EVER! Day 6 of our Scotland road trip takes a wild turn — what started as an epic mountain bike ride from Kinlochewe quickly became one of the most intense and unexpected challenges of the tour. Armed with my Amflow Carbon Pro eMTB (and Byron on the Specialized Ohlins Ltd) and a plan that relied a little too much on Strava, we aimed for the remote and stunning Lochan Fada. But when the trail vanished and panic set in, we found ourselves stranded, deep in the wilderness, miles from the nearest road... and questioning if I'd see humanity ever again!! We also visited Urquhart Castle, explored the beautiful Rogie Falls (complete with a suspension bridge of doom), and soaked up some of the most dramatic scenery the NC500 has to offer.
