On the 1st of September 2016, EC English Language Centres hosted Dream Big Malta, the first local event of its kind created to inspire the younger generation to follow their lifelong dreams and become a success in Malta and beyond. Attendees were welcomed to listen to engaging talks and panel discussions with Maltese personalities like Joseph Calleja, Suzanne Sharp, Alfred Pisani, and Ollie Mangion, among others. Andrew Mangion is Executive Chairman of the Maltese-owned group of international English language schools, EC. He joined the company in 1997 and was helped grow the organisation into one of the world's leading players in the industry. Before joining EC, Andrew ran the Indian and Baltic operations of an international trading company. Today, EC has 25 centres all around the world and welcomes 45,000 students annually. With its first school opening in 1991 in Malta, Andrew has been a driving force for international expansion. He was also President of the Federation of English Language Teaching Organisations in Malta (2008-2010) and is a Director of Chiswick House School and St. Martin's College – two of Malta's leading private schools.
