Kilted Glory! Edinburgh Tartan Parade 2025 - Pipes, Kilts & Scottish Pride!

The inaugural Edinburgh Tartan Parade took place on May 10, 2025, in Edinburgh, Scotland, as part of the city’s 900th anniversary celebrations. Inspired by New York City’s Tartan Day Parade, the event saw around 1,600 participants march from the City Chambers on the Royal Mile, down Cockburn Street, across Waverley Bridge, through East Princes Street Gardens, and ending at the Mound Precinct. Led by TV star Gail Porter, Kyle Dawson (President of NYC Tartan Week), and the Rt. Hon. Lord Provost Robert Aldridge, the parade featured pipe bands, Highland dancers, clan tartans, and diverse groups, including Shetland’s Viking “Jarl Squads” and Chinese dragon dancers. The event celebrated Scottish heritage, inclusivity, and community, followed by a ceilidh at the Ross Bandstand and a gala concert at Usher Hall with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Rura.
