I saw an Olympic champion today but I didn't catch her name. So I'm not sure who it was.

I usually don't follow Olympic events as much as I used to, but I just happened to be doing my thing and dancing in the park and enjoying life when an Olympic Gold Medal Winner walks past me. I saw her with a big gold medal around her neck and walking with what appeared to be her mother. I asked her, what is that? And she said told me she won a gold medal for gymnastics. I have tried searching the internet to find out who she was but so far I have had no luck. She walked past me in Scissortail park and for some reason I have been thinking about who this girl was. I had been wanting to learn some basic gymnastics just as back flips etc and I was just thinking about that when a real life gold medal winner walks past me. But I didn't realize who she was until she was almost past me. If I was thinking I would have asked her to show me some of those gold medal winning gymnastics skills and have got an exclusive interview of a world class champion. Now curiosity has caught me and inquiring minds want to know. What was she doing in Oklahoma City? Was she being celebrated at the Thunder Game? Why was she walking in the park past me with her mother? At least this is what I think was the probable reason for her being there. But I failed. Hopefully I can find out who she was and if she ever walks past me hopefully I will recognize her and ask for an exclusive interview and a demonstration of her world class gymnastic skills. I tried researching online the most recent gold medal winners but to be honest I didn't see her face as I need glasses and when people are far away from me, even a few feet away, their faces are blurry and I just see a blur as they walk past to be honest. So she really could be anyone. I was hoping she lived in Oklahoma City so I could interview her. But I don't even know what she looks like or who she was. I could have had the exclusive interview of the decade but I failed. But in my defense, she kind of just popped up on me and so I was caught unprepared for an Olympic champion to walk past me. Now I'm kind of star struck, I wished I had time to see her skills and learn how to do some of what they do. The story of the century and I let it get away. That was a big fail on my part. I could have learned how to do a back flip from a world class athlete and world champion. Epic fail on my part.
