Friends, I am back with another #medicalschool VLOG, where I share the last few weeks of my Acting Internship (AI). An AI is a 4-week rotation during the fourth-year of medical school in which a student typically rotates on a service in the medical specialty that they will be applying into for residency. So in my case, I am applying into Internal Medicine for residency so I was placed on a cardiology service in internal medicine called telemetry. Telemetry is basically the inpatient (in the hospital) cardiology team that manages patients with heart problems requiring hospital admission and treatment. A lot of the common cases we see are patients with: heart failure, heart attacks, arrhythmias, and syncope (passing out). It was a great month on my AI, and I learned so much! Stay tuned for more VLOGs as I finish up my last few rotations of medical school 😊 I’m almost a #doctor 😎🤩😱 . Also, be sure to check out my official mentorship program, Rising Stars Premedical Mentorship Program ✨, where I offer one-on-one individualized support and guidance on the road to medical school. I also offer additional services such as general advising, MCAT advising, mock interviewing, and personal statement revising.
