In this animation one more check rail supposed to be placed (inside of straight tracks' left-hand rail)near the three crossing noses. So wheels do not hit the crossing nose section(right side crossing nose on straight track while viewing toward train's moving direction )while trying to follow straight track as shown in last bogie motion. This video explains how a railway turnout crossing works and how a little complex 3way lapped turnout makes possible switching to 3 rail tracks one at a time.
