The presell mountains are a wild expanse of moorland with carns scattered all around. Its from these carns that the bluestones of stonehenge originate from. Some carns have upright stones which are ready made standing stones. These mountains have a relaxing feel to them almost giving you a trance like feeling. Exploring these lands that almost feel like time has forgotten. Geologists have known since the 1920s that the Stonehenge bluestones were taken to Stonehenge from somewhere in the Preseli Hills, it wasn't until 2015 that radio carbon analysis proved that the Stonehenge bluestones came from Carn Goedog and Craig-Rhos-y-felin. There has been a long standing belief that the Stonehenge bluestones came from Carn Menyn. Join me on this adventure as I make my way to this very special carn.
