In September 2025, I got the opportunity to present results from my current PhD research at the European Conference on Optical Communication in Copenhagen. The research we carried out involves the design of an electrical temperature sensor - including readout circuitry - for photonic integrated circuits. The work was accompanied by the following abstract: "This paper describes a temperature sensor with digital output, built interfacing two InP diodes fabricated in a Photonic Integrated Circuit to a Si-CMOS chip. It achieves 22 mK resolution for 100 ms measurement time, and a maximum 1.13 °C inaccuracy from 0 to 85 °C." I would very like to thank my co-authors from the Eindhoven University of Technology for collaborating on this work: K. van Oosterhout, E. Genco, P. Baltus, A. Budarin, P. Harpe, M. Heck, A. Koolen, X. Leijtens, W. Tian, S. Tondini, E. Cantatore and M. Fattori. I would also like to thank the organizing committee of ECOC 2025 for granting us permission to publish this recording of the presentation.
