In this episode, Little John adventures to Maui to see the shop of master luthier Steve Grimes... and then the Rocky Mountain Archtop Festival in Colorado to interview Steve. Steve is one of the original 22 "Blue Luthiers" who contributed guitars to the world famous Chinery Blue Guitar Collection exhibited at the Smithsonian in the late 1990s and profiled in the landmark book, Blue Guitar, by Ken Vose. Steve is well know for his archtops, double sound hole flat tops, ukes, etc. His client list is a who's who of the music world: Willie Nelson, George Benson, Jackson Brown, Steve Miller, Walter Becker, Jake Shimabukuro, Keola Beamer, Leo Kottke, Larry Coryell, and more.
