Feather Nail Art Design Using Gold Foil Leaf with a Bit of Bling

Hey Guys! So in this tutorial, I'm going to show how to do a Metallic Feather and we're going to use Gold Leaf to create it. The Gold Leaf comes in a pack so be careful as its delicate. Then we are using a Lavender Gel Polish, which is really bold. The only way this design will work is when your Gel is really pigmented. After a few minutes under the lamp we then break off tiny bits of the Gold Leaf, it'll last a long long time. The Lavender Gel Polish also has a slightly sticky layer so the Gold sticks very very easily using a clean finger just flatten it out. It is fiddly but as I'm putting a piece down I'm planning where to place the next bit. Now what you need is something pointy so you can use a Cuticle Pusher or on the end of Pinching Tool, you have a little cuticle knife. Then you're going to drag in little lines to create that feathered look. Your sort of breaking it open, don't worry about it being perfect, we're going to get to that point. Now you're going to take you Lavender put some backing paper from the Gold Leaf, take your colour around the edge, to worry about going too neat. This will start to start it up. Now once you've gone around the edge we're going to fill the nail. Get really close to the cuticle. The next step is to seal it in with urban Graffiti Top Coat, this has no tacky layer so no need to clean it, just pop in the lamp. Then we're going to use some Snow White Gel Polish, this will make the design come to life. Take a detailing brush and go down the centre, be really fine, this is your tricky part. You're going to go around the edge and it'll really make it pop! (flash cure it and if you touch the Snow White it won't smudge) Now we're going to seal it, it makes it crier and it's easier to work on top of it, after curing we can add a little bling, I'm using Acrylic as the stone is a bit big and I prefer Acrylic. Let that dry and then get your Brush On Nail Glue and just add a little around the edge and it'll seal it all in. Finish with some Cuticle Oil and that's how you create a Foil Feathered Gold look.
