The rise of students committing suicide in IITs is increasing drastically due to several reasons. Every passing day there are students of a premium institute like IITs who are taking a step toward committing suicide. Cases of IITians committing suicide is increasing day by day. There are suicide cases in almost every IIT. On 20th July IIT Hyderabad students committed suicide, on 8th July 2023 a suicide case at IIT Delhi, multiple suicide cases in IIT Madras this year, and there were a few suicide cases in IIT Bombay as well. Reasons for committing suicide in IITs are discussed in the video where majorly academic pressure, mental health & caste discrimination are highlighted by the news channels. In IITs, academic pressure is very high because of relative marketing, difficult curriculum, many different exams, etc. It becomes hard for students in IITs to cope-up with this pressure and becomes the primary reason for suicide in IITs. Mental pressure, self-doubt, peer pressure & caste discrimination are the other major factors contributing to suicide cases in IITs. Jee Aspirants prepare so hard to reach their dream college IITs but they still give up on their life. Any academic pressure is not worth their life.
