Tour of the All New Anderson Athletic & Recreation Complex | University of St. Thomas

Athletic success is a hallmark of St. Thomas, and student participation in varsity, intramural and informal recreational sports has contributed greatly to the St. Thomas experience for many generations of Tommies. The 180,000-square-foot Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex houses an aquatic center with an eight-lane pool and a diving area, a 2,000-seat arena for basketball and volleyball, a field house with a 200-meter track, fitness facilities for both cardiovascular and weight training, aerobics rooms, locker rooms, Athletic Department offices and the Health and Human Performance Department. The complex is named in honor of St. Thomas trustee Lee Anderson and his wife, Penny, who have provided significant funding for the new facilities, as well as for a much-needed new student center and parking ramp.
