Do you remember the day you surrendered to Jesus Christ, the day that changed you forever? I certainly do, it was May 16, 1987 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, it was an amazing encounter with Christ that I remember like it was yesterday! Throughout the decades, I’ve had many ups and downs, many trials, and at one point a few years ago, I walked away from Him. Living a life I wanted. Certainly not in His will. And….things fell apart, He was calling me back in so many ways but I ignored everything He was whispering to me. Then in 2022, He was shouting. I had a medical event that shook me to my core and I nearly passed away. It was a wake up call for me and I immediately recommitted myself to Christ. I’m all in, and I started writing these songs to give back to Him, because I am SO thankful He sustained my life and has shown His grace and mercy to me over and over and over. This song is a reminder of who you are in Christ, you have a new life, you’re born again! He’s with you, always! Learn from me, hold on to Him and never let go! But if you do, He is there waiting for you….patiently!
