All About Masks in Lightroom

Masking in Lightroom is an awesome feature. It's a great way to make precise adjustments to just certain areas of your image. In this tutorial I'll show you how to quickly and accurately mask complex photos using Auto Mask and Range Mask. Basically, a mask lets you tell Lightroom what areas of a photo get specific edits or adjustments using the Adjustment Brush, Radial Filter, or Graduated Filter. This gives you a great level of control over your adjustments. In addition to Auto Mask, Range Mask allows you to mask areas based on luminance or color, which is especially useful for landscape photos. I'll also show you how to invert a mask when using the Radial Filter, and a workaround for when you want to invert a mask when using the Adjustment brush, where technically there isn't an Invert option.
