Homemade Fruit snacks are SO easy to make. easy peazy lemon squeezy 😄🥰 Tip #1 after you pop the Fruit snacks out of the silicone molds, let them dry on a plate or a wire wrack, overnight and/or all day the next day! drying them will help the flavors concentrate, and it will give the fruit snacks some time, to firm up and become chewy. Tip #2. If you leave them plain, feel free to store them in an airtight bag or container after the drying process. if you decide to sour sugar coat them, then let them dry further in exposed air on your counter, for an additional day or so. Your looking for the sugars to harden and dry on your fruitsnacks... sometimes you may need to roll them in sugar 2 times, before the sugar hardens on the candy. After the sugar hardens or drys on your candy you can put them in an airtight bag or container. Tip #3- You can find so many cute candy molds on Amazon, and fruity extracts. Let's jump to the written recipe. Ingredients: ●3 cups Fruit puree ●1.5- 2 cups or white sugar (or to taste) ●Fruit extracts of your choice. (this is optional... but daaamn does it ever make a huge difference!) ●1 cup bottled lemon juice. ●8 tblsp Gelatin powder. ●1 cup sugar for rolling (Optional) ●1 tblsp Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C powder- the sour stuff- Optional) 1) Heat your fruit puree, and add your sugar to melt and fully incorporate. 2) In a seperate bowl, mix the lemon juice and gelatin powder together. The texture will be thick and cakey. Melt and mix it into your hot fruit puree on the stove, until you dont have anymore chunks. (It should melt in nicely) 3) Now add your fruit extracts to the pot... measure with your heart. (Usually 1/2-1 tsp is enouph of 1 flavor) 4) With a syringe, or dropper, drop the fruit puree carefully into your silicone candy molds, and place in the fridge to set for 2 hours. 5) Once your gummies have set, pop them out of the molds and let them dry overnight and/or all day the next day for desired flavor and texture. 6) At this point you can store in an airtight bag or container, .... or you can roll them in a sour mixture consisting of 1 cup sugar, and 1tblsp Ascorbic Acid. #easyfoodtomakeathome #healthylifestyle #diy #fruit #recipes #baking #fruitsnacks #realfruit #realfood #healthylifestyle #comfortfood #trending #trendingfood
