Thank You For Watching. Please Dont Forget To Like Also. Peace and Respect. (GOOD WING CHUN = GOOD SIFU) (GREAT WING CHUN = GREAT SIFU/LINEAGE = GREAT STUDENT) I dont claim to be the best because everyone is best at something. I havent been on a wooden dummy a while, just trying to remember my wooden dummy form on someone else's wooden dummy. Taken somewhere in Sapang Palay, Bulakan, Philippines.THE MOVEMENTS ARE JUST FORM MOVEMENTS AND NOT ACTUAL FIGHTING APPLICATIONS. APPLICATION IS DIFFERENT WHERE POWER AND SPEED ARE ALSO EXECUTED. THEY ARE NOT EMPHASIZED HERE ON THE FORM. actual application behind each movement are not shown here. Thank you. Wing Chun Syllabus Level 1& 2 - Beginner/Foundation Level - Sil Lum Tao (小念頭 Little Idea) Level 3 - Intermediate Level - Chum Kiu (尋桥 Bridging the Gap) Level 4 - Advanced Level - Biu Ji (标指 Thrusting Fingers) Level 5 - Trainee Instructor Level - Mook Yan Jong (木人樁 Wooden Dummy) Level 6 - Assistant Instructor - Look Dim Boon Grun (六点半杆 Dragon Pole/ 3 1/2 Point Pole, 6 1/2 Point Pole) Level 7 - Instructor Level - Baat Jam Dao (八斩刀 Butterfly Swords/Eight Cut Swords) You can not become a Professional Boxer overnight by watching Manny Pacquiao or Lloyd Mayweather fight, everyone knows that. You join a club that will teach you how to box and put in hours to years practice. My point is some people watch and copy wing chun forms and think they are masters already. Yes its easy just to copy but to know the meaning behind each movement can not be copied but taught (there are 108 movements per form and each movement has multiple applications and when combined with other movements multiplies to more applications). Besides you may think you are doing it right but I am 100% sure you are not. I used to copy them too. I had full sets of them 1st form to wooden dummy forms from different masters. Yes I got the sequence right but the movements looked wing chun to me but to a real practitioner... NOT. I knew I was wrong when I finally joined a club. I did not see my mistakes at first but only later on when I learned the deeper or real aspects of Wing Chun, I realized I was only fooling myself early on by copying videos. I realized I made a funny monkey out of myself by copying them especially performing in front of my kung fu brothers. One can not learn by watching, actually embarrassing like I embarrassed myself in front of my kung fu brothers. It is a PACKAGE with not only forms but instructions, ideas, concepts, principles most of all touch. Wing Chun is not complete without CHI SAU and chi sao is about touching, feel, sensitivity to energy, reading intentions through touch and feel. These are not in the forms. Forms are just a guidelines or reference point. Wing Chun is not 100% forms. Its only a fraction of less than 1 %. 99.9% are concepts, principles and chi sao, drills and applications including sparring. You can say only 0.1% is form. Obviously when I realized I was making a fool of myself copying videos, I stopped doing it and started taking instruction from my master and senior brothers who are/were far more advanced than me. More importantly I found the instructions from those videos to be wrong and taking me to a WRONG direction. My advice if you wish to learn Wing Chun find a master to teach you because Wing Chun is a hands on touch hands experience. Its the only way and no other way of learning Wing Chun.
