Nyakairima hits back at critics

Internal affairs minister Gen. Aronda Nyakayirima has hit back at the chairperson of the immigration board Beatrice Byenkya, saying that if she cannot work with him, she should find work elsewhere. Two weeks ago, Byenkya had told parliament’s committee on defense and internal affairs that the minister is not a team player and manages the ministry in a militaristic style. She also accused Nyakairima of trying to usurp the powers of the board in the formulation of the Registration of Person’s Bill. Aronda says he cannot entertain loose talk.
