I'll be honest: I'm still terrible at switchblades (that's why I enlisted Aaron Watts for the tricktip for them a couple of years back: https://freestyletricktips.com/footwo.... They've just never appealed to me. I can see how some people make them fit into their overall footwork repertoire, but they just don't work for how I like to skate. However, I saw Terry Synnott do a rolling switchblade a while back and was HOOKED immediately. This is my kind of footwork: smooth, fluid, and most importantly, rolling. Unfortunately, like all footwork, this took me a long time to learn - and even longer to learn how to do it well. It was worth the work though; it rapidly became one of my favourite things to do on a board. It's an incredibly addictive feeling, and never stops making me smile. And now you get to torture yourself for months with the hope of eventually being able to do them too! Don't say I never give you anything. The in-depth breakdown and photo sequence can be found on the website at https://freestyletricktips.com/footwo... for those who find stills and text easier to follow. If you need to learn the railwhipback, you can find the guide for that here: https://freestyletricktips.com/rail/r... Need a new board? Want a dedicated freestyle setup to make this easier? Finally, the footage of the Walk the Cow comes from Daniel Trujillo's old trick tip for that trick - you can find it here: • Freestyle Trick Tip: Walk the Cow Anyway.
