After ten days on the trail, the "hiker hunger" and dead batteries are setting in. I was ready to duck in for a bed in a hostel in St. John’s just to charge up and do laundry and shower—but a lucky find and some trail magic changed everything. In this video: Cape Spear Lighthouse: Incredible coastal views and a much-needed "loitering" session to charge batteries. Wildlife Sightings: Possible bear scat on the Avalon Peninsula and tale of whale sightings ahead at Signal Hill. The Struggle for a Campsite: From ant infestations at Gunner’s Cove to a race against the sunset, I finally find the perfect "stealth" spot at Sandy Bottom Lake. Solo Hiking Realities: Managing a heavy battery bank, the freedom of changing plans on the fly, and the push toward the final leg of the trip. With only 5-6 days left, the momentum is building.
