Olympic torch on spacewalk: Russian Cosmonauts pose with torch at International Space Station

Subscribe to ITN News: http://bit.ly/itnytsub The Olympic torch has been taken on its first spacewalk by a pair of Russian cosmonauts. Oleg Kotov and Sergei Ryazansky took turns in holding up and waving the silver-and-red torch in their gloved fists. Special tethers were attached to prevent it from floating away in outer space. The footage was mostly taken from cameras mounted on the cosmonauts' spacesuit helmets and broadcast live on NASA's internet channel and Russian state television. The showcase was part of the torch relay of the Sochi 2014 Winter Games. The torch arrives back on Earth on Monday and carries on its relay, arriving in Sochi in February to light the Olympic flame.
