Damiaan Statue and Damiaan Bridge on the Border between Haacht and Tremelo in Belgium.

The Damian Bridge is a steel girder bridge for pedestrians and bicycles across the Dyle on the border of the municipalities Haacht and Tremelo in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The bridge is just past the confluence of the (Grote) Laak  and the Dijle. The bicycle and pedestrian bridge was put into operation in 2012. On August 22, 2013, a 2 meter high wooden statue of Father Damien was placed on the west side of the bridge. This statue was donated by Lizette Cresens from Haacht. The sculpture was made by an artist from Wolfsdonk.
