I'd just sat down to start work and WHAM! Car bomb at the back gate. By the time I got to the bunker it was full. This battle when on for more than eight hours. On 30 June 2010, a small team of Taliban fighters, estimated at six to eight men, launched a complex attack against the main gate of Jalalabad Airfield.
