Welcome to the Taranaki Trails Trust 'Summer Trails Series' where we bring to you some of the best places to ride and trail run in Taranaki. This episode takes us along the famous Surf Highway 45 to the coastal town of Opunake to check out the 'Opunake Loop Trail'. You'll be riding alongside the Opunake lake, across the clifftops, providing coastal vistas before offering country views and rural scenery. The trail is 7km in length and has variable terrain of grass, footpaths and gravel pathways and is hilly in places.
