The new 050 motor is almost here — scheduled to drop this month — and it’s designed specifically for mini RC rock crawlers. In this video, I show the motor installed, explain the design goals, and talk through what makes this 050 different from typical micro motors. The fit is clean, the performance is strong, and the low-speed control is exactly what mini crawlers need. ⚠️ Important note: This motor is very powerful for its size. In a completely stock rig, it can be more motor than your drivetrain is ready for. Throttle control matters here. If you’re heavy-handed on the trigger, you may find weak links inside your rig pretty quickly. Treat it like a performance upgrade: -Practice throttle discipline -Use throttle limiting if needed -Upgrade parts as needed Power is fun — control keeps parts alive. As always, drop your questions and thoughts in the comments. 👉 Follow for more RC crawling, tech, and real-world testing: YouTube: / holmeshobbies Website: https://HolmesHobbies.com/ 2nd Channel: / johnrobholmes #RCcrawler #MiniCrawler #MicroCrawler #050Motor #RCMotor #RockCrawler #ScaleRC #RCUpgrades #MiniRC #CrawlerMotor #RCElectronics #RCPerformance #ThrottleControl #RCDrivetrain #RCBuild #RCMods #RCCommunity #HolmesHobbies #RCCrawling #RCAddict #RC4x4 #OffRoadRC #RCMotors #MicroRC #crawlerlife 0:00 – Revolver 050: Who It’s For (And Who It’s Not) 0:28 – Why I Designed the Motor This Way 1:02 – Direct Bolt-In: No Plates, No Adapters 1:28 – Power Warning: This May Be Overkill 1:44 – KV Options Explained (Crawler vs Wheel Speed) 2:06 – Real-World Fitment: SCX24, FMS, SCX30 3:13 – Smaller Versions & Future Motor Designs 4:37 – Release Timing, Final Thoughts & Feedback 6:53 - Extended Ending (Another One)
