My second-ever headset review! I noticed some people were talking about how the PC38X is a bit pricey, so here's a review of a not-as-pricey headset! This headset is either $80 new or around $30-$60 used, so it's the first "Mid-range" headset I've reviewed as well as the first "budget" headset I've reviewed when bought used. Note: There are two models of HyperX Cloud II, the one in this video is the Kingston-made model from prior to 2021 when HyperX was owned by Kingston, in 2021 HP acquired HyperX and reportedly has made some cost-cutting measures to this model whilst claiming there is no functional difference between them. For clarity sake this is the Kingston model of the headset. Notenote: For the sound portion of my review, audio quality is somewhat subjective and mostly down to personal preference, I generally prefer a balanced sound curve (where bass, mids, and treble are all present but not drowning out each other), but others might have different sound preferences so take my sound quality portion of the review with some salt.
