Steve Arless, serial medtech entrepreneur, talks about his entrepreneurial career and strategies from three successful cardiovascular startups: CryCath, CardioInsight, and SoundBite, in his Medtech Adventures interview with Scott Phillips. Currently the MedTech Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Centech, Steve has directed and created several medical device companies, from inception to major financing and public stock offerings, in addition to advancing new medical devices from R&D to commercialization and global sales marketing. Steve has served as CEO for a number of companies, most notably CryoCath Technologies (sold to Medtronic Inc. for $400 million CAD), Resonant Medical (sold to Elekta AB for $30 million), and CardioInsight (also sold to Medtronic for $100 million USD). Medtech Adventures shares the stories and insights of successful, serial medtech entrepreneurs. In this series, StarFish Medical Founder and CEO, Scott Phillips, interviews entrepreneurs about their journey, entrepreneurial successes and lessons learned. The interviews run 30-90 minutes and are taped wherever Scott can catch up with the busy entrepreneurs. Interviews often take place in conjunction with Medical Device Playbook, an annual conference to inspire entrepreneurial medical device companies. MDPlaybook features expert medtech speakers from all over North America at events in major North American medtech hubs. The most popular segments often feature successful serial medtech entrepreneurs sharing their stories and lessons learned. Learn more about Medical Device Playbook at https://meddevplaybook.com/
