In this Doha Airport transfer guide, join us as we walk you step-by-step through a connection at Hamad International Airport in Qatar. We’ve just landed in Doha on a Qatar Airways flight from Copenhagen and now need to navigate one of the world’s leading international hubs to catch our onward flight to Kuala Lumpur — also with Qatar Airways. If you’re wondering how to transfer at Doha Airport, what the Hamad International Airport connection process is like, or how long it takes to go from gate to gate, this video shows you exactly what to expect. What Happens When You Arrive at Hamad International Airport? After disembarking, the first thing we do is locate a flight information display screen (FIDS) to confirm our flight details, check if our connection is on time, and most importantly, find out which departure gate we need to head to. From there, we guide you through the transfer route inside Hamad International Airport, walking through the impressive international departure terminal, past duty free shops, luxury boutiques, restaurants, and currency exchange counters. Because we are transferring to a connecting international flight and not entering Qatar, we did not need to pass through Passport Control / Immigration on this occasion. We also did not need to clear security again, as screening was completed at our departure airport. However, we’ve connected through Doha many times before and have sometimes been required to go through security, depending on routing and origin airport requirements. A Stop at The ORCHARD – Doha Airport’s Indoor Garden During our transfer walk, we also visit The ORCHARD, the airport’s stunning indoor tropical garden. This beautifully designed green sanctuary offers a peaceful escape from the busy terminal, featuring lush plants, natural light, and calming water features. It’s the perfect place to relax, recharge, and refresh during a long layover at Doha Airport. Whether you’re connecting with Qatar Airways, planning an international layover in Doha, or simply want to know what the Doha Airport transfer process looks like, this video will help you feel prepared and confident for your journey through Hamad International Airport.
