Let’s grow 3 perfect flowers for beginners together! I’m Michaela and I want to inspire you to grow flowers, wherever you live, even in an apartment building, even in pots! Episode 1 here: • Week 1: Our ZINNIAS, cosmos and marigolds ... This week we see what the flowers look like, 2 weeks after sowing. We compare the flowers I sowed in a simple planter and left outside (in the cold and rain) with the flowers I sowed professionally, in cell trays and placed under grow lights. We learn how to pot up seedlings - or rather, how to transplant the seedlings, from the tray they sprouted in, into individual cups with potting soil. Additionally, we learn when the seedlings should be repotted or transplanted, how to fix leggy seedlings, and how to separate 2 seedlings grown together. In this series on gardening for beginners we are GROWING CUT FLOWERS FROM SEEDS. I will show you how to grow cut flowers from seeds, what the cut flower seedlings look like, how to care for the seedlings, how to plant cut flowers, and also how to cut flowers and how to make flower bouquets for our kitchen table. Every week, for 3 months, I will show you in a new episode the progress of the cut flowers I sowed - so you can see in turn firsthand how YOUR cut flower seedlings, grown by you from seeds, can evolve. I chose to plant 3 super easy-to-grow cut flowers, which you can sow today: zinnias (Zinnia Elegans), cosmos (Cosmos Bipinnatus) and marigolds (Tagetes Erecta). The episode where we sow the seeds is here: • What to plant in MAY? The perfect cut flow... It's not too late to start! You can sow all these flowers in June, or even early July!
